The Dataflow Engineer. will be responsible for using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. The Dataflow Engineer uses a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, uses a variety of data tools, builds and implements models, uses/creates algorithms, and creates/runs simulations.
DESCRIPTION:
This is a full-time position and work is performed at a customer location. The Senior Dataflow Engineer is responsible for using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. The Senior Dataflow Engineer uses a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, uses a variety of data tools, builds and implements models, uses/creates algorithms, and creates/runs simulations.
RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES:
- Design strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional networks.
- Set operational standers for database management, query processing, and data security.
- Build and optimize data models, ensuring efficient data workflows and system integration.
- Implement and refine system performance across data infrastructure.
- Develop data mining models, algorithms, and simulations to optimize business decisions.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, support decision-making, and generate insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor real-world outcomes.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.
- Serve as technical expert across multiple high-impact projects.
- Prepare repots, dashboards, and tools to communicate data findings and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 9 years of professional experience in data engineering or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with data exploration, cleaning, mining, visualization, and analysis.
- Proficient in developing and applying predictive models and testing frameworks.
- Capable of coordinating with business and technical teams to deploy data-driven solutions.
- Skilled in designing computer code to improve or build data-related applications and software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with Python software development (or equivalent programming experience)
- Background in building custom data models and simulations to optimize business outcomes.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning, data pipeline optimization, and system integration.
SALARY RANGE:
$160,000 - $190,000
This salary range is an hourly exempt (exempt from overtime) position. Benefits are provided in addition to the salary range.
